Shaddy MC was influenced by the deep sounds of Jungle and Drum & Bass from an early age. He has come along way since his formative years gigging in Oxford, Reading and Swindon as in recent years he has MC’d ground-shaking headline sets with the likes of Benny Page, Aphrodite and the mighty Serial Killers.

Shaddy’s first major bookings were abroad with sets in Asia, such as: Thailand’s Bangkok ‘Arise’ club, ‘Koh Samui Mango’ bar and Koh Pha Ngan’s ‘Full Moon Parties’.

Following these Shaddy held a residency at Surge Sound System, where his rhythmically stabbing vocals and high energy performances caught the attention of Oxford based Drum & Bass label Dope Ammo.

In 2011 Shaddy was booked in the Dope Ammo studio with Brukout Foundation to lay vocals on the, now infamous, ‘Raggamuffin Bizzness‘. Following the successful release of this track Shaddy was signed to Dope Ammo early in early 2012.

Since then ‘Raggamuffin Bizzness’ has been supported by the Drum & Bass A-List. Specials of the dance-floor weapon were made for Nicky Blackmarket, Kenny Ken, Ashatack. Kenny Ken recently even picked ‘Raggamuffin Bizzness (Kenny ken special)’ for his 25 years Of Jungle double compilation release!

Since then his career has gone from strength to strength as he has become an integral part of any Dope Ammo live event, on top of performing with Dope Ammo up and down the UK, he’s reached out into Europe, highlights include: Berlin ‘Kiss My Bass’ in February of 2012, Paris’s ‘Moulin Rouge’ club and supporting Benny Page, Serial Killaz and Junior Red.

2012 was a huge year for Shaddy, as he MC’d for Serial Killaz at ‘Run To The Sun 2012’, and spat evil bars as the mighty Benny Page headlined a set at Brixton Academy. He also supported Nicky Blackmarket, Aphrodite, Dub Pistols in and around Oxford in the same year.

In 2013 Shaddy blessed the Lion’s Den Stage at Boomtown with his fast-paced bars as part of Dope Ammo’s booking at the notorious festival. This performance led to a set with the Run Tingz Cru at Boomtown’s Boombox Stage, which lead to more events with the Run Tingz Cru such as a performance at Bestival.

Shaddy was also involved with Chinese Man’s tour, which saw Shaddy play at Brixton Electric and Bristol Motion with Run Tingz, all of these events were sold out affairs.

Next on Shaddy’s agenda was laying vocals down for the Dope Ammo release: ‘Junglist Villain’ as remixed by Marvellous Cain. The track got a great deal of love from industry legends, young and old, and has spilled sweat on many a dance-floor!

In 2014 Shaddy took things to new heights with huge festival sets, including: 3 shows at Boomtown; Hidden Woods closing set on the first night with Run Tingz. Followed by Spaceport and Leisure Centre with Dope Ammo. Additionally a huge gig at Glastonbury where he MC’d a headline set in The Cave for Serial Killaz and closing set for Run Tingz on the Hell Stage.

Following this Shaddy has performed at Rumble Festival, in Lyon France, Dope Ammo tour with 2 shows – Austria, Vienna and Czech Republic, Brno. As well as vocals being featured on the 2015 hit EP ‘Get Down Massive’ on Dope Ammo.

Shaddy has also been laying down bars at Drum & Bass filth fest Nass in July and performed as part of Dope Ammo Live at the Jungle Awards in August, finishing off 2015 with a bang smashing up Seville and Granada on a Run Tingz takeover.

The future is bright for Shaddy as he is working together with Gigante MC & Yemi Bolatiwa for the live Dope Ammo showcase which will be battering eardrums soon!
